Grupo Herdez, S.A.B. de C.V. was formed in 1991 and the Company listed on the Mexican Stock Exchange. It acquired Grupo Bufalo, S.A. de C.V., through which it introduced new products and innovative packaging of salsas in glass jars.

A new plant began operations in the city of Ensenada, Baja California to process and can home-style sauces and vegetables, essentially for export.

Alimentos Deshidratados del Bajio, S.A. de C.V. was acquired, a plant located in the State of Guanajuato for drying various vegetables such as peppers, garlic, onion and parsley, etc.
